Neal Creighton, President, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

After graduating from West Point in 1989, Neal served five years as an Army officer and was a tank platoon leader in Desert Storm. Following his service, Neal received a Juris Doctor and an MBA from Northwestern University and co-wrote a well received book on the Gulf War (The Eyes of Orion). After leaving Northwestern, he quickly developed a passion for entrepreneurial ventures.

Neal has more than a decade of experience in information security, identity verification, web authentication and certification markets. As President and CEO of GeoTrust, Neal is responsible for providing the leadership, strategic direction and management for the company. Neal spearheaded GeoTrust’s re-launch in 2001 when it acquired Equifax’s security business, and strategically repositioned the company and its subsequent rapid growth. Since 2002, GeoTrust has increased its market share from three percent to more than 20 percent. During this time, Neal has steered GeoTrust’s constant growth and technology innovation – he has assisted in raising $24 million in funding, and delivered identity and trust solutions to customers with breakthrough efficiency and lowest cost. Today, the company secures many of the transactions that take place daily over the Internet.

Neal came to GeoTrust from Equifax, where he was Vice President and General Manager of the Equifax Secure certificate division, the company's information security group. Prior to joining Equifax, Neal was General Manager at IDMetrix, Inc., an early stage startup and certification authority previously owned by Deloitte & Touche and the Thurston Group LLC, where he set strategy for products and services. Neal is a noted expert in the identity verification/ information security field and has been invited to speak at industry conferences and to provide input to industry related articles and reports.

Neal considers graduating from U.S. Army Ranger School in 1990 his most meaningful professional experience.
