Paul Tourret - Managing Director
and Director of Sales, GeoTrust Europe
Paul Tourret has joined GeoTrust Europe with extensible
senior management experience in high technology companies
operating across Europe.
Paul graduated in 1988 with an honours degree in
Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He was sponsored
through university by GEC Avionics and worked as a
development engineer following graduation. In 1989
he joined the component distributor Impulse (part
of Lex and later the Arrow Group) as a senior field
applications engineer and worked supporting customers
design activity for three years.
Following a short spell at Manhattan Skyline as an
Area Sales Manager, he joined Sunrise Electronics
in 1993. Firstly as a Field Sales Engineer, then Sales
Manager, Sales Director and finally New Business Development
Director, growing the business from start up to £20M
and establishing the largest Distributor in Europe
for NEC. In 2000, he founded Silex Communications
a business focussing in the Wireless Communication
and Internet Connectivity markets. Within one year
Silex was the European Rep of the year for Cambridge
Silicon Radio, the worlds leading Bluetooth semiconductor
supplier.
Prior to joining GeoTrust Europe, Paul held the position
of Managing Director with Comodo – a UK based
online security company. During his time at Comodo
Paul led the management team responsible for the launch
of the Comodo’s SSL certificate brand (InstantSSL)
and other Comodo products.
Paul holds a BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic
Engineering from Sheffield University and is a Chartered
Engineer CEng MIEE.
