Robert Steinkrauss Joins GeoTrust Board of Directors

Former Chairman and CEO of Raptor Systems to Help Guide Expansion into Enterprise Data Security Market, Focus Company on Long-Term Growth Strategy

April 14, 2003 - San Francisco, RSA Conference 2003, Booth #717 - GeoTrust, Inc., a leader in identity and security solutions for e-business and the second largest certificate authority, today announced that it has named Robert Steinkrauss to its board of directors. Steinkrauss will assist the company's management team in overseeing GeoTrust's evolution from an emerging-growth company to a market leader. He brings extensive experience in managing publicly and privately held companies in the information security, networking and telecommunications industries.

Steinkrauss is currently chairman of the board of Authentica, Inc., a content security software company. He was previously CEO of Taqua Systems, Inc. Before that, Steinkrauss was president and co-CEO of Xedia Corporation, where he grew revenues from $500,000 to $21 million in two years. Subsequently, Steinkrauss sold the company to Lucent Technologies for $246 million. At Lucent, he became vice president and general manager of the WAN Systems Group, where he was responsible for all aspects of the $250 million, 350-person group.

Between 1995 and 1998, Steinkrauss held the positions of president, CEO and chairman of network security software and services provider Raptor Systems, Inc. While president and CEO, Steinkrauss took the company public, met expectations during all eight quarters as a publicly held company and diversified the product line. As chairman, he helped sell Raptor to AXENT Technologies (now part of Symantec Corp.) for $250 million.
