GeoTrust’s signing technologies represent the
latest in next-generation services for digitally signing
applications, binding people and documents, and assuring
code integrity to wireless platforms. There are two
types of signing services: Document Signing and Code
Signing.
Document signing is designed to replace ‘wet
ink signatures’, and binds the signer to the
document. There are two types of Document Signing:
One Way Signing and Two Way Signing.
One Way Signing allows the validation of a certified
document and assures the recipient that this document
came directly from the sender identified. This is
particularly useful in official or sensitive communications
(i.e. analyst reports, press releases, etc.)
Two Way Signing is designed to allow the secure transfer
of contractual agreements between two online parties.
Party #1 signs and sends, then Party #2 signs. This
creates a legally-binding digital signature, and is
perfect when face to face signing is unnecessary or
inconvenient.
